Despite its landmark 30th anniversary year coming to a close, it’s clearly evident that the Nike Air Huarache will not be slowing down its run of releases anytime soon. Coming fresh off the heels of the recently-revealed “Bordeaux Patent” colorway comes this new kids-exclusive iteration that preaches a timely message of unity.
Though it’s not as overt in this messaging as other peace-themed releases past, it does don a Yin Yang in several placements. Much like the titular Eastern thought, the sneaker juxtaposes itself in multiple colors, textures, and finishes in complementary and interdependently, each giving rise to each other as they interrelate. Here, it’s white mesh uppers, tan suede, pale lilac, and orange neoprene textiles that link into matte black caging, white EVA midsoles, and glow-green outsole traction. Branding and special graphic insoles are delivered in a striking yellow, with the aforementioned Yin Yang motifs situated at both the insole and added lateral tag to complete the design.
