The Nike Air Kukini “Glitch” Releases August 27

With the Nike Air Kukini back in Nike’s rotation, one would expect to see it occasionally pop up in the Swoosh’s special themed packs. Yet to appear in such collections, the silhouette has only now been given the green light on its inclusion, with this new Nike Air Kukini “Glitch” joining a wider 8-bit pack from the Nike think tank.Joining the previously-previewed Nike Huarache, the pair looks to more modern and less whimsical glitch finishes than previously seen from digital-themed releases. From the jittery Swoosh at the tongue and its jolty Nike lettering at the forefoot to multi-color, mismatched neoprenes that sport an array of 8-Bit patterns, the theme is as colorful as it is busy. The pair is calmed down a little by the incorporation of milky cages and black leather overlays, as well as simple sail and black sole units underfoot. But the best bit sits within, with old-school computerized Nike Air motifs on the insoles rounding out the design.
