Throughout its 30th anniversary celebration, we’ve seen the Air Max 90 run through a wide variety of finishes, from Earth-friendly options to the recently-revealed “Multi-Color Fur” duo. Though not anywhere near as audacious as the latter, this new colorway is as colorful. Here, white ripstop-like uppers set a blank canvas for colored overlays of soft green, muted orange, and lemon. The sneaker’s signature sweeping mudguard arrives in clean white leathers, while its opposing color graces the Swoosh resting directly above, as well as the rear and tongue branding strikes. Completing the design is a block of orange at the Air cassette — the same color that graces the insoles — and a tri-color rubber outsole.
Simple, mostly black blocking enables the pair’s striking white and piercing Racer Pink accents to pop. The latter famously graces the entirety of the midsole, as well as select branding hits and tongue, while crisp white Swooshes cut through the jet black upper like a hot knife through butter. Almost everything else arrives in black, from the mesh uppers to the leather and nubuck overlays and everything in between. The pair is then capped off with hot pink Air supports and matching insoles.
