Nike has shown nothing but persistence with the Air Max 90 beyond its 30th anniversary year, with the iconic model making countless contributions to the Swooshe’s lifestyle category across the past 18 months. The next to appear comes with an all-too-familiar feel, with white mesh and black mudguards hosting accompany colors inspired by the early 1990s.
Aquatone and Deep Magenta are the hues in question, two pigments that are seen to complement almost everything from the era — like sportswear and marketing collateral — in which the sneaker was devised. Simple white mesh uppers host the hues which alternate at the eyestays, Swooshes, Air cassettes, heel overlays, and outsoles. Tongue branding follows suit, resting atop an uncharacteristic white leather tag. Said leather continues across the toe and midfoot, before being wrapped by the aforementioned black leather mudguard to complete the design.
