Slowly but surely, we’re starting to thee the Air Max 90 flex its creative flair. In this, it’s 30th anniversary year, we’ve seen a slew of both tonal and OG-inspired colorways that have quenched a thirst — but they’ve all been pretty typical. Things are heating up, though, with a handful of more experimental options on the way. Some are more wild than others, like the golden-iridescent snakeskin edition, or the Viotech-like multi-color makeup, but they don’t have to go all-out on materials and color to stand out. This upcoming Grey/Pink/Beige Air Max 90 is a testament to that by focusing on unique color blocking, utilizing subtle shifts in tone, and working in unison with muted accents.
Dark grey mesh uppers and smooth grey leather overlays provide the pair’s initial layer on intrigue — as does the unique use of Wolf Grey on the midsole. And even lighter grey is employed on the lower lacestay and heel overlay, before the palate shifts to warm beige on the upper eyelets, suede mudguards, and outsole. The pair is popped with muted soft pinks around the Air unit, tongue, and heel branding and profile Swooshes, the latter finished in 3M reflective materials.
A release date for these muted Maxes did not accompany the official image set below, but it is expected to release on Nike.com in the coming weeks. For future updates on the drop, make sure that you’re following HOUSE OF HEAT on Twitter — until then, enjoy a detailed look at the pair below.
