Olives and muted green footwear options are plentiful every Autumn, so it was inevitable that we’d see an Air Max 90 don the deep-green duds for its 30th anniversary — it’s just taken a while to get there. But now that Fall is in full swing, the Air Max 90 “Oil Green” has appeared in a muffled green and grey make that’s paired with some refreshing pops of lemon for good measure.
Here, a heavy-duty black mesh reaches from the toe box to collar, with overlays in greys, both Iron and Light Smoke, and the titular green detain the upper. Subdued lime green is served up at the tongue, lower eyelet, branding panels, and Air cassettes for a touch of vibrance, while incidental light grey accents keep the mood clouded, whereas white would feel a little too crisp for the pair’s aura. Completing the design is a few flashed of washed lemon at the tongue, insole, and rear branding, as well as coloring the pair’s visible Air supports.
