The Air Max 95 has been through the wringer, with Nike’s design team flat-out exploiting the silhouette over the past few years through countless themed, overbranded, and even Happy Pineapple’d releases. Through it all, the silhouette has always found a strong line back to its heritage, with more than enough OG-homaged pairs filling up shelves over the past half-decade or more. The next to appear once again looks to its origins — in more ways than one.

It’s quite easy to see the OG Volt inspiration here, albeit a much brighter rendition Cascading greys work the profile panels in new finishes — leathers and light hues. Vibrant volt accents are a given, confirming the pair’s intended inspiration. But these cues aren’t the only throwback themes, with a scattering of glazed-on vintage Nike motifs splayed across the lowermost overlay and toes. Unnecessary? Maybe, but still a nice crisp colorway for the impending spring season.
