After just having dropped Spring-friendly colorways of White Gum and one contrast-stitched with Pine Green, the Air Max 97is doing a full 180 and reverting to a simple all-black build for its next release. This one, though, is not your common triple black banger — in fact, it comes with some pretty cool reflective detailing that sets it apart from others we’ve seen before.
A classic construction of mesh and leather is overshadowed by its tonal black coloration. Save, the obvious silver Swooshes, the pair does not deviate in the slightest from its overarching ominous hue. It’s differentiated by 3M reflective overlays — a standard 97 finish — though it’s taken to another level by the inclusion of reflective threadwork on the lateral Swooshes. Nice.
