Things may have slowed significantly for the Air Max 97 as we’ve approached Fall and Winter, but it doesn’t mean that new options have completely dried up. The next of which is as simple as it gets — and it comes with a focus on sustainability.

The everyman’s black and white schematic is applied once more to the Air Max 97 for a release that’s sure to floods shopping malls and gyms the world over. It’s nothing we haven’t seen before in terms of color blocking, ith all-black uppers, 3M reflective overlays, black outsoles and Air sup[ports, and piercing white midsoles and branding, too, but this is the first time that it’s been done with renewable materials; I bet you couldn’t tell — we couldn’t either. In fact, the only reason we know why? The pinwheel-branded insoles that serve as a moniker for the brand’s Move to Zero campaign.

A release date for this sustainable Nike Air Max 97 in Black and White is yet to be revealed, but you should expect to see pairs hit select stores and Nike.com over the coming months.
