The Nike Air Max 97 “Burlap” Features Barely-There Branding

As we work deeper into the new year, it seems that the 25th-anniversary Air Max 97is becoming more of a focus for the Swoosh — especially as we approach the silhouette’s strong Summer showing. The next to surface — this Air Max 97 “Burlap” — is a simple one, but a closer inspection reveals much more than meets the eye.

A quick glance at this new colorway reveals a simple beige and sail set-up, but a closer look shows significantly more detail; Burlap uppers and canvas tongues are split between the pair’s two hues, with the profile then struck with cascading leather overlays of tonal beige. Tongues are layered with thick sail rope laces and beige overlays before all-sail sole units rest underfoot. Interestingly, branding is delivered in barely-there fashion, with tonal glaze Swooshes on the lateral panels, debossed branding on the medial, and tonal marks at the tongue badge, rear pull, and insole to round out the design.

A release date for this brand-new Nike Air Max 97 “Burlap” is yet to be revealed, but you should expect to see pairs hit select stores and Nike.com over the Spring/Summer season.
