New Air Max 97 Features Perforated Uppers and Colorful Pulls

As one of Nike’s most popular retro lifestyle models, the Air Max 97 is always in high demand. And although the Swoosh has been busily preparing for the silhouette’s 25th anniversary in 2022, they haven’t missed a beat on their regular programming with GR colorways coming in as thick and fast as they have been for years. The next option to appear is this simple white arrangement that tacks on some heritage accents alongside it’s signature 3M reflective hits.

The all-white upper arrives in a throwback perforated leather, with mudguard overlays and mid panels proffering a tumbled finish. 3M overlays above that opt for a tonal white finish, as too does the nylon tongue, liners, laces, and midsole unit. Multi-color pulls arrive in faded pigments that hint at an old era and is further enhanced by retro Nike cursive logos at the insoles. Swoosh embroidery arrive in muted blue-purple to match the outsole, some of which are tipped in red to mimic the added pigments to the underside of the outsole.

A release date for this new Nike Air Max 97 is yet to be revealed, but you should expect to see pairs hit select stores and Nike.com over the coming weeks.
