Although a majority of the attention has been focused on the AM95 and AM90 as they’re both celebrating significant milestones this year, the Nike Air Max 97 has been trickling the releases in to keep their fanbase appeased and draw new fans to the silhouette.
The rise in popularity has held strong ever since the iconic collaboration with Sean Wotherspoon and with continued releases Nikelooks to keep that momentum going. This latest drop bears all the hallmarks of an instant classic, the all-black upper displays a typical upper construction using a combination of leather, nubuck, and mesh to help establish the shoes unique lines. At the bedrock of the design, we have a black outer and midsole unit that encapsulates a large fully translucent window to display the striking red cushioning tech below. Completing the design and adding some of the only splashes of color is the thin red stitching on the upper and duo of red swoosh branding on the medial and tongue.
