Another Bangin’ Black and Red Air Max 97 is on the Way

Not to be outdone by anniversary-celebrated silhouettes like the Air Max 95 and Air Max 90, Nike’s marquee trainer from 1997 has been delivering winner after winner. More recently, it’s been the kids on the receiving end of the incredible Air Max 97 colorways — like this recently-released “DMP”-like drop. Now, you can add another one, with a clean Black and Red Air Max 97 on the way for those with little feet.

Not only does the pair receive OG-style mesh uppers, but it also receives a nice hit of jet black nubuck on the mudguards. Pair that with murdered-out sole units, liners, and upper overlays, and you’ve got yourself a perfect base for some vibrant color pops. Enter a flashy red, gracing the tongue and midline overlays, embroidered Swoosh branding, and Air units, resulting in one hell of a release — if only it made its way to a full-size run . . .
