Set to capitalize on its peak season, Christian Tresser’s Air Max design of 1997 will look to some gaudy hues for it’s next release, with this Air Max 97 “Kaleidoscope” coming to close out summer.
This kids-exclusive release is anchored by bright white mesh — though you wouldn’t know it, given the peppering of colorful polka-dot sports that mimic a kaleidoscope’s shape-shifting beads. From there, overlays of reflective magenta and semi-translucent panels of TPU in pink and blue cover the top half. The lower part of the upper is completed by simple white leathers and mesh, with white sole units trimmed with cool greys hits to marry up to the tongue pulls and overlays. Lastly, a two-tone Air Max support unit sits stowed away underfoot for one final splash of color.
A release date for this summer-ready Air Max 97 “Kaleidoscope” is yet to be revealed, but you should expect to see pairs hit select stores and Nike.com over the coming weeks.
