Nike’s retro Air Max lineage — namely the Air Max 1, 90, 95, and 97 — always manage to find ways to reinvent itself. The silhouettes have seen countless retoolings over the years, from ACG-inspired options to the more recent Terrascape series, each of which brings a new story to the beloved silhouettes. The next reincarnation is this Nike Air Max 97 LX “Woven”, which, as the title suggests, hosts decorative interwoven detail along the design’s iconic lines.

The first of two colorways to be revealed, this pair presents in barely-there pink textile, one which is almost fleece-like in appearance. The fabrication covers the entirety of the upper, including panels with indented Swoosh branding and tonal overlays. The featured weave works along the lateral, over the vamp, and through the medial side, and houses a special white ribbon that holds the shape of the original overlay. Tongues, liners, laces, and pulls all arrive in a tonal shade of pink, with everything underfoot arriving in white to complete the design.

A release date for this Nike Air Max 97 LX “Woven” is yet to be revealed, but with pairs already available throughout Asia, you should expect to see a global rollout land on Nike.com over the coming weeks.
