Nike’s fictional-themed anime collection will continue into 2022, with this Nike Air Max 97 “Mighty Swooshers” the next in what appears to be a new collection for the summer.

Anchored by a white tongue and black upper — both in mesh — the pair alternates its overlays in metallic silver and white leather, giving the pair a hypnotic appeal when sighted from a bird’s eye view. There’s plenty of graphic novel inspiration, with comic-style ink points along the lower overlay and mid-panel in blue and red respectively. Further comical cues come in through the stylized pull and Air Bubbles branding, both of which arrive on bright yellow backdrops. Outsoles continue the hypnotic black/white finish, before Swooshman-like chest plates at the tongue, and Mighty Swooshes graphic insoles round out the design.

A release date for this sustainable Nike Air Max 97 in Black, White, and Silver is yet to be revealed, but you should expect to see pairs hit select stores and Nike.com over the coming months.
