There’s something so beautiful about a Summer sunset, and it’s rightfully captivated footwear designers for years. The jet black of the night against the transitional shades pink, peach, and purple work so well together that it has become a go-to colorway for countless sneakers over the years. The next to appear is the Air Max 97, a sneaker that has already seen a handful of different “Sunset” iterations over the course of its existence.
This pair boasts a bold black base of mesh and a sweeping mudguard of tonal black to frame is complimentary colors. Reflective overlays indulge in a peach hue with its surrounding overlays and pulls opting for pink with a slightly more red tint. Just above the aforementioned mudguard is a streak of purple that marries into the overarching theme, before an atypical flash of crisp white at the midsole adds some life below the fold. Air supports and outsoles arrive in jet black, though the latter is splayed with pops of pinkish red to match the aforementioned pulls.
