Back in September 2017, Nike issued a special-edition, diamond-encrusted Air Max 97 Swarovski “Silver Bullet”for the silhouette’s 20th anniversary. A year later, they followed it up with a “Golden Bullet” banger. And while it’s been a minute since we saw the sparkling silhouette, Nike has plans to bring it back for the 2021 Air Max Month celebrations — this time with subtle blue detailing.
Dubbed the Air Max 97 Swarovski “Polar Blue” thanks to its minimal use of the titular hue at the Swoosh and outsole flashes, the pair arrives pretty much on-par with the original Silver Bullet release channeling the OG in every way from the all-silver uppers, black liners and outsoles, and crisp white midsoles. The only difference here is the aforementioned blue hues in place of the OG-inspired red — it even comes complete with a metallic finish applied to the Air supports beneath.
