Nike will expand its sustainable Terrascape series with a third model, with this Air Max 97 Terrascape joining retooled options of the Air Max 90 and Air Max Plus under the same moniker.

A first look at the new design shows a one-piece mesh upper encased in an overlaying sheath that aims to mimic Christian Tresser’s original design lines. Its overlocked stitchwork runs along the medial line, with reinforced mudguards, open mesh mid panels, and hidden waves across the upper half. Swooshes are absent from the aforementioned mid-panel, instead arriving oversized at the lateral ankle. Midsoles arrive completely in Grind Rubber, with flecked outsoles following in its sustainable cause. Terrascpae branding hits the tongue, outsole, heel pull, and multi-colored insoles to complete the design.

A release date for this brand-new Nike Air Max 97 “Terrascpae” is yet to be revealed, but you should expect to see pairs hit select stores and Nike.com soon.
