Toggle lacing systems seem to be the flavor of Fall 2022, with yet another silhouette joining Nike’s tug-to-tighten series: the Air Max 97.

This pair looks to monochrome black and silver or its coloring, but it’s delivered in a striking manner. All-black mesh uppers and silver tongues are struck with alternating overlays and laces for maximum contrast. Its sole unit sits simply underfoot in off-white and black, with silver Air supports stowed within. The monochrome makeup is then finished off with pops of pink along the pair’s Swoosh embroidery, insole detail, and rear pulls.
