In the midst of its 25th-anniversary celebration, the Nike Air Max 97 has seen quite a few new iterations, including a handful sporting denim duds and one that’s received an outdoor-inspired overhaul as part of the Swoosh’s impending “Utility Pack.” Now it’s getting back to basics with this new Air Max 97 “Tour Yellow” appearing ahead of an expected release in October.

A bright white mesh upper is barely visible here, as a slew of grey overlays join tonal liners and tongues on the upper half that give the pair a solid greyscale anchor. The titular Tour Yellow hue arrives in select doses, with Swoosh branding, full-length Air supports, and outsole trim all featuring the striking hue. The pair is then completed by black and anthracite rubber outsoles and 3M reflective finishes across the upper.
