Though there was some initial excitement surrounding the first-ever re-release of the Nike Air Max Plus 3 in late 2019, the silhouette has stumbled. Outside of the OG reissues, it’s struggled to find consistent success. Because of this, releases have become more spaced out, with a solid gap between its last release. But now it’s back with a little Big Apple sports flavor with this Nike Air Max Plus 3 “New York” expecting an arrival soon.
Dressed in the city’s infamous sporting hues of royal, black, orange, and white — be it the Knick or Mets — the pair automatically brings about a New York state of mind. It’s bright royal mesh uppers are fitted with white ‘shadow’ Swooshes that frame the forefoot embroidery, before being fully encased in black nubuck, high-gloss caging, and plastic rear clips. A pop of white is thrust into the forefoot midsoles before a slew of royal accents arrives at the outsole, Air supports, and heel. The pair is then completed by orange brand marks at the tongue, and standard Tuned Air branding throughout.
