There’s no Swoosh silhouette safe from a recycled sole swap, with the Air Max Plus next to gear-up the grind rubber tread — but that’s not the design’s biggest intrigue.
Here we can expect two colorways — black and grey based respectively — with the aforementioned sole unit seemingly taking center stage. That is until you notice what’s going on with the classic cage overlays, replaced here by a matte glaze finish — the medial side fully inverted. It’s a very cool effect, though perhaps it would have been perfect had the overlays been reflective. Alas, they’re not, but still provide a once smooth contrast to the unique ribbed woven upper. The other major change sees added tongue taping that reads “TUNED / AIR” across the right and left shoe respectively. Both pairs are then finished with colorful 3M-flecked laces to match the hues present in the underfoot Air supports.
We’re still waiting for an official release date from our sources, but it’s expected to launch in the coming weeks fromNike.comand select Swoosh retailers. In the meantime, check out the official images below and tune into House of Heat on Twitter for all future Nike news and updates.
