The Nike Air Max Plus Appears in Black, White and Obsidian

Sean McDowell’s Air Max Plus remains at the height of popularity throughout Europe and Australia, with Nike’s continued effort on the retro runner bolstering its stocks for the new year. Now, following a handful of recently-revealed pairs struck with striking University Blue, the Swoosh has darkened things down with this intriguing Black, White, and Obsidian arrangement.

For this release, Nike started out with a black mesh upper and wrapped it in a black-to-white gradient mesh netting. Its surrounding elements remain fairly tame in comparison, with black vein cage overlays and mudguards, white and black sole units, and black trim around the liners, eyestays, and heels. Lastly, Midnight Navy is deployed in select sections, namely the tongues, midfoot Swoosh, midfoot shank, and Air supports, to complete the design.

An official release date for this new Air Max Plus is unknown, but you should expect to see it sneak into select retailers and Nike.com in the coming months.
