Nike Air Max Plus “Running Club” Nods Retro Runners

Nike’s upcoming “Athletic Club” collectionwon’t be the only fictional footwear pack on the way, with the Swoosh revealing a new “Air Max Running Club” series starting with this special edition of the Air Max Plus.

The pair in question boasts a heritage running charm thanks to its throwback nylon upper, crimp-cut suede overlays, and exposed-foam tongues. Retro tags at the tongue match “AMRC” and “Beaverton, OR” tags on the eyestays, while vintage tear-away tags are tacked on the right shoe via a special Nike pin. Elsewhere, the pair remains relatively unadulterated, with simple black vein overlays, white, midsoles, and black rubber outsoles serving as the pair’s bedrock. Within that, there’s a set of navy Air supports, and a navy and orange gradient shank, before the pair is completed by retro-inspired Nike tags in the rear, and heritage orange Checks at the midfoot.
