Though by no means does it struggle in the US market, the Air Max Plus is not typically considered a marquee model for those situated Stateside. Throughout the rest of the world, though, the audacious Air Max model is considered to be a grail, typically out here in Australia, throughout the UK, and the wider European continent. So it should come as no surprise that the World Game serves as inspiration for this new release, with football (soccer) themes sighted across the pair’s special brand marks.
As seen from above, the pair’s football crest/crown motif in gold rests at both the insole and tongue and reads “Social FC” as an ode to the weekend leagues. From there, the design is fairly vague in its inspiration, with cloudy grey uppers, and an onslaught of bold blacks at the glossy vein overlays, leather guards, and tongue tips. Pops of royal blue sprout at the liners, eye stays, and Swoosh trim, before all of the colors converge around the off-white sole unit to complete the design.
An official release date for the pair is still unknown, but you should expect to see this football-inspired Nike Air Max Plus “Social FC” sneak into select retailers and Nike.com in the coming weeks. When they do hit shelves, we’ll be sure to keep you posted here on our official Twitter account.
