Toggle lacing systems seem to be the flavor of Fall 2022, with yet another silhouette joining Nike’s tug-to-tighten series: the Air Max Plus.
One of three colorways revealed, this pair looks to monochrome black and silver or its coloring. Its blocking is striking, with all-black mesh uppers and tongues struck with matte silver vein overlays, guards, and toe caps; Its sole unit sits simply underfoot in off-white and black. The material and utilitarian additions are over the top, noticeably, the pair’s cross-over lacing reaches right down to the mudguard and is fixed at the tongue’s tip by a toggle lock; But there’s more to it than that. Its modified mesh upper houses a reflective vein glaze. Further tweaks are spotted on the textured guards, heel overlays, and tongue tips, with a noticeably larger Swoosh sitting at the midfoot to complete the design.
The pair is also expected to release alongside a pair in “Triple Black.”
An official release date for this new Air Max Plus is unknown, but you should expect to see it sneak into select retailers and Nike.com in the coming months. When they do hit shelves, we’ll be sure to keep you posted here on our official Twitter account, but until then, enjoy an official look at the pair here below.
