Sean McDowell’s Air Max Plus remains at the height of popularity throughout Europe and Australia, with Nike’s continued effort on the retro runner bolstering its stocks for the new year. But it won’t be all color and saturation to start the season, with this bright new Air Max Plus “University Blue” appearing as part of the brand’s Spring 2023 schedule.
Working gradients into both the upper and caging, the pair starts out in deep blues towards the sole unit before rising up to a light hue up top. It’s encased in striking University Blue mudguards, toe caps, and heel overlays and framed by bright white liners, laces, and midsoles. A range of muted blues appear at the eyestays, tongue tips, midfoot shanks, and Air supports, with the pair then completed by a staple black rubber outsole underfoot.
An official release date for this new Air Max Plus “University Blue” is unknown, but you should expect to see it sneak into select retailers and Nike.com in the coming months.
