Though it’s mostly known for its gaudy colorways, on occasion, the Nike Air Max Plus can show a more reserved side — but in this instance, it doesn’t lose sight of its ties to eshay culture.
The silhouette is often associated with the graffiti scene, and the use of spray paint-look finishes has been a constant avenue for Nike to utilize. Here, it’s employed a shadow-like sprayed Swoosh at the midfoot, with its signature solid-state sitting above. That brandmark, along with the tongue tag, rests in blue and yellow trim. The rest of the sneaker is fairly straightforward, with staple white mesh uppers, and solid-color vein overlays and guards joining a white and black sole unit underfoot, THe last pops of color come through at the midsole, with midfoot shanks in two-tone blue and Air supports following suit.
Though an official release date for this new Air Max Plus “Spray Paint Swoosh” is unknown, you should expect to see it sneak into select retailers and Nike.com in the coming months.
