For the Nike Air Max BW’s 30th birthday bash, the brand has sought out several Air Max counterparts to don honorary “Persian Violet” duds in celebration. Many of the expected silhouettes have already surfaced — the Air Max 95, Air Max Plus, and Air Max 90, to name a few — but there has also been a couple of resurgent models making an appearance, too, like the Air Max 96 II and now, the Air Tuned Max.
Like the majority of the aforementioned, this release doesn’t try to replicate the OG Big Window, instead, it pays tribute by borrowing its famed black, white, and violet hues for an entirely new arrangement. Here, it’s whit mesh uppers and vein cages of the titular hue that sit below a bevy of black leather overlays and surroundings. Black tongue, liners, and laces, along with murdered-out midsoles and color-matched outsoles all provide a dark anchor, with familiar translucent Air windows, eggplant iridescent collars, and colorful outsole veins resting underfoot to complete the design.
Though a release date for this Nike Air Tuned Max “Persian Violet” was not officially noted, the surfacing of the official images suggests that a release will be proximal. Until the official word comes though, grab a detailed look at the pair here below, and be sure to keep it locked on our official Twitter account for updates.
