The Nike Air Tuned Max is finally getting the retro treatment it deserves. Missing from shelves since its 1999 debut, the sneaker made its first-ever return to the market earlier this year — a whopping 22 years after its first release. Now, after having surfaced in a handful of colorways new and old, the sneaker has now surfaced in the most basic of colorways: Triple Black. But this murdered-out make isn’t your standard or typical, as it enlists a handful of premium finishes to break up the bleak.
Most notably, the pair’s toe and heel overlays boast a ballsy patent leather finish, while elegant suede paneling presents down the tongue. Metallic silver accents at the tongue and heel branding link into the visible Air supports beneath, with the remainder of the trainer completed in jet blacks.
Though a release date for the Nike Air Tuned Max “Triple Black” was not officially noted, the surfacing of the official images suggests that a release will be proximal. Until the official word comes though, grab a detailed look at the pair here below.
