Following the reveal of the “Metallic” edition, Nike continues to stoke anticipation for its newest silhouette with the unveiling of the Nike G.T. Future “Fire.” Debuted as part of the latest SNKRS Showcase, this vibrant iteration ignites the G.T. series with bold color and futuristic design.
A striking “Bright Ceramic” covers the molded synthetic upper, giving the shoe a molten, flame-like appearance. The unique draped construction features sculpted grooves that add movement and structure to the form, echoing the aesthetic direction of Nike’s Foamposite and Flightposite lines. The contrast of black hits on the midsole, inner liner, and embedded Swoosh provides balance and visual impact.
The G.T. Future’s design appears laceless, focusing on seamless lockdown and aerodynamic function. While Nike has yet to confirm specific tech specs, the G.T. line is known for its advanced cushioning platforms—likely featuring Zoom Air or React foam underfoot to support elite-level performance.
The Nike G.T. Future “Fire” exemplifies the brand’s push toward expressive, form-driven basketball footwear. It’s an aggressive departure from traditional design language, signaling that Nike is doubling down on innovation both on and off the court.
Pairs of the Nike G.T. Future “Fire” are expected to launch throughout Fall 2025 via Nike.com and select retailers. Pricing is set at $200.
On Thursday, Aug. 7, the official NYvsNY Instagram account shared that a limited, early pre-order of the "Fire" G.T. Future would take place to lucky attendees of the tournament's Future’s Game on Sunday, Aug. 10. Beginning at 5 p.m. local time, visitors in Victory Park (Brooklyn's Emily Warren Roebling Plaza) can scan QR codes around the park for a chance to pre-order the sneaker. Only 300 pairs of the debut colorway will be available.
