Drops Spring 2024
A nostalgic resurgence is on the horizon as the Nike KD 4 "Weatherman," a fan-favorite from the Kevin Durant signature line, gears up for its first-ever retrospective release.
Earlier this year, Nike delighted Durant enthusiasts by reissuing the much-celebrated KD 3 "All-Star" from 2011. The release was met with enthusiastic acclaim, confirming a high demand for retrospective releases akin to the Kobe and LeBron lines, Perhaps even more so than the latter.
For 2024, Nike will reinstate Kevin Durant's fourth signature sneaker in some of the most beloved colorways; amongst those is the Nike KD 4 "Weatherman," As reported by Sneaker Files and zSneakerheadz.
The "Weatherman" KD 4 was an apt representation for the times, paying homage to Durant's capacity to "make it rain" on the court, especially given that he had just won back-to-back scoring titles when the sneaker first hit the shelves. It also plays into Durant's childhood dream of becoming a broadcast weatherman.
While it remains to be seen whether the retrospective release will incorporate performance-enhancing "Protro" modifications in the vein of the Nike Kobe Protro series, Nike's recent history of faithful retrospectives for both KD and LeBron suggests that the "Weatherman" KD 4 reissue will stay true to its original form.
