Nike will continue its annual tribute to Gianna Bryant with the release of the Nike Kobe 3 Protro Low Mambacita, arriving May 1 in honor of her birthday.
Following a now-established tradition, the Swoosh has consistently marked the date with “Mambacita” editions across key silhouettes, including past releases of the Kobe 4, Kobe 6, Kobe 8, and Kobe 9. This year’s effort brings the theme to the Kobe 3 Protro Low, continuing the series with a familiar black, white, and metallic gold palette tied to Gianna’s legacy.
The pair features a clean white lattice-style upper, contrasted by glossy black overlays at the toe, heel, and midsole. Gold detailing is applied throughout, including branding hits and a heart-shaped hangtag that references the Mambacita identity. Personal touches continue at the heel with “Gigi” branding, reinforcing the tribute-driven design approach Nike has carried across previous releases.
As with prior Mambacita drops, the release serves as both a product launch and a moment of remembrance, aligning with Nike’s ongoing efforts to honor Gianna’s impact on the game and the next generation of athletes.
The Nike Kobe 3 Protro Low Mambacita is set to release on May 1 via Nike.com and select retailers. Keep an eye on official channels for confirmed launch details.
