Nike Kobe Shock Drop Expected for August 24 at 8:24 AM

Nike has made 8:24 a.m. PT on August 24 something of a yearly tradition for Kobe Day, using the time tied to Kobe Bryant’s two jersey numbers to surprise fans with special releases. That tradition is expected to continue on Monday, August 24, with another major Kobe shock drop lined up for 8:24 a.m. PT.

A sizable list of footwear is already expected for the drop, though additional styles could appear once the release goes live.

Among the anticipated highlights are Jalen Brunson’s Kobe 5 Protro “NY vs. NY” and several Caitlin Clark pairs, including the Kobe 6 Protro “Light Armory Blue,” Kobe 5 Protro “Indiana Fever,” “Coconut Milk Spruce,” and “Rookie of the Year.”

Nike is also expected to bring back the Kobe 6 Protro “ASGAll-Star Hollywood 3D,” Kobe 3 Low Protro “Mambacita,” Kobe 3 Low Protro “Pink Quartz,” Kobe 8 EXT Protro “Siempre Hermanos,” Kobe 11 Protro “Mamba Day,” and Kobe 11 Elite Low Protro “Fade to Black.” The Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Low Protro “City of Champions” is also expected in the mix.

Kids’ sizing will reportedly be included as well, with the Kobe 9 EM Low “Mambacita,” Kobe 3 Low “Mambacita,” Kobe 6 “ASG Hollywood 3D,” Kobe 8 “Year of the Horse,” and preschool Kobe 8 Protro “Halo” among the pairs anticipated.

Apparel is expected to accompany the footwear, including a Los Angeles Lakers Dri-FIT ADV Authentic Jersey and black and white Kobe Draft Pack 1996 T-shirts.

The Kobe Day shock drop is expected to go live Monday, August 24, at 8:24 AM. PT, likely through SNKRS and/or Nike.com/Kobe. With surprise drops of this size, the final lineup may not be known until everything goes live, so expect more styles to potentially join the list at drop time.
