Kyrie Irving’s eighth signature sneaker has easily been the star’s most anticipated design in years — but not for typical reasons. After he publicly trashed the silhouette, and after his well-documented absence from the NBA hardwood, interest in Irving sneaker only grew. Just how exactly that has helped Nike is yet to be seen, but regardless of the athlete’s current availability status, the colorways keep on coming — like this new Asian-influenced option that’s likely to be the guard’s “Chinese New Year” release.
Anchored in off-white textile and leather, the pair is provided with an airy base for its bold black and striking color pops to shine. Amongst the hits of orange, teal, jade, and glow green is a slew of Asian-inspired graphics and motifs, including wave depictions, characters, and geometrics. There are textured leathers, crimp textiles, and high-gloss brand panels, as well as marbled traction pads and modified branding throughout.
Grab an official look at this new Asian-influenced Nike Kyrie 8 below, and look for these to land at select Swoosh stockists in the first half of 2022.
In related news, the silhouette has just popped up in a KD-inspired colorway.
