LeBron James has made history multiple times throughout his decades-spanning professional basketball career. And while we all eagerly wait for his docu-series for behind-the-scenes looks of some of his biggest moments, the latest Nike LeBron 22 seemingly commemorates the journey.
Clad in an in your face 'Blustery/Ghost Green/Diffused Blue/Fireberry' color scheme, the pair serves as one of Nike Basketball's wildest designs for the kid from Akron. The swoosh-shaped outline and part of the midsole with which it meets across the profiles double-down on vibrant 'Ghost Green' flair, delivering the sneaker's "most tame" component. The remaining textile upper features a medley of tones that recreate a number of iconic Nike LeBron logos from throughout the years. Images of the current Los Angeles Laker are accompanied by star and lightning graphics presented as graffiti.
The latest from Nike Basketball wouldn't be the first time a graffiti-like makeover has appeared across James' signature series. The LeBron 4 and LeBron 17, for example, released in 'White/Black' color schemes donning an all-over print on their uppers. The LeBron 22's makeover isn't a direct reference to these aforementioned styles, but it also features text like "Witness" that tap into the NBA superstar's legacy. Special flame LJ logos are embroidered onto the medial side, marking the sneaker's uniqueness.
