After a quiet debut in a few colorways, Paul George’s sixth signature sneaker will make a little more noise with its newest offering, as this Nike PG 6 “Infrared” looks to be one of Nike’s most identifiable sneakers of all time for inspiration.
If you hadn’t guess it from the pair’s title, this colorway of the PG6 honors the Air Max 90 of the same name — but it does so in more ways than one. From retro runner-inspired tongue tags to ribbed plastic eyestay and midfoot panels, the pair is stacked with Air Max inspiration. Its colors are directly influenced by the release, too, although there it works within the restraints of the design and does not try to replicate the OG one-for-one. Here, you’ll find uppers of all-grey, with dark charcoal liners and heels, striking red Swooshes and outsole PG plates, with white soles and grey plugs completing the design.
A release date for this new Nike PG 6 “Infrared” is not yet known, but with official images of the pair becoming available, one would suggest that a release is imminent. So until more detail emerge, grab an official look at the pair here below, and be sure to keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates.
