LeBron James Helps Unveil Nike x Powerbeats Pro 2 Earbuds
NIKE, Inc. and Apple have a long-standing relationship. For their latest joint-effort, the North American institutions have teamed up on co-branded Powerbeats Pro 2 earbuds to provide premium sound for athletes who need sweat and water resistance during intense training sessions.
Four-time NBA champion LeBron James stars in campaign imagery for the collaboration, specifically donning a "Volt"-colored pair on the golf links. In a first for Beats, the audio company has cleared up real estate for Nike across its sleek design, allowing Swooshes and "Just Do It" messaging to take on individual hooked ear buds, charging cases, and packaging.
The special-edition Powerbeats Pro 2 provides industry-leading Active Noise Cancelling and Transparency mode settings, allowing athletes to adapt to their surroundings without issue. The earbuds also feature improved sweat and water resistance from previous generations, and built-in heart rate monitoring. Workouts sync seamlessly with the Nike Run Club app. Five ear tip sizes also ensure a comfortable, secure fit for all activities and intensities.
Other benefits include up to 45 hours of battery life and a wireless charging case.
The collaborative Powerbeats Pro 2 releases today, March 17, via in-app lottery on SNKRS before seeing a global Nike.com release on Friday, March 20. The earbuds are priced at $250.
