Nike Gets Poetic with Next International Running Team Collection

Nike Running is getting ready to release another multi-pair collection as part of its International Running Team program, a series that blends storytelling with performance footwear. The range consistently makes reference to Tokyo's running community as Japanese athletes in the capital city have long championed swoosh-branded footwear. The latest set of offerings fall under a "Running Poets" banner.

Silhouettes includes in the next collection include: Pegasus Premium, Vomero 18, Vomero Plus, Vomero Roam, Zoom Fly 6, and the Pegasus 41 GORE-TEX. Each option indulges in "Desert Khaki," "Monarch," or some other mix of earth tones, differing from the vibrant "Volt" seen across the Ekiden 2026 releases. Every style includes thematic branding on the insoles, while some don giant Running Poets messaging on medial profile or tongue.

The Swoosh hasn't shared what the two-word phrase alludes to exactly as of yet, but it's possible the International Running Team range gets at the idea of the poetry of running. When broken down, running is simply a series of moments of flight, but the simple act can be poetic depending on if you're open to interpret it as such. Athletes of all levels can move across distances with grace, confronting challenges with a smoothness that may have their battles go unnoticed.
