After some time out of the limelight, the Nike Trainer SC High saw a small return to shelves in 2020 for its 30th birthday bash. Releases were few and far between, leaving retro aficionados a little heated at the lack of variety — perhaps a result of COVID or maybe a tentative test from Nike. Either way, the silhouette will continue on deep into 2021 with a brand new colorway – and we’re certain that this one will be an instant classic: the Nike Trainer SC High “Georgetown”
Though an Auburn Tiger through and through, Bo Jackson’s signature cross-trainer assumes the Hoyas hues of grey, navy, and white across its mostly-leather construct. Perforated uppers come capped with tonal grey leathers at the toe, eyestay, and heel, with mesh tongues, midfoot cross-straps, and upper eyelets following in hue. Lightly tumbled navy leathers wrap the shoe from lateral to heel and down the medial side, and are matched in color at the liners and eyestays. Completing the design is a clean white midsole and a fully translucent rubber outsole beneath.
