The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 is the perfect example of good design passing the test of time. Although launched in 2011 as one of Nike Running's marquee products, it's now become one of the most popular lifestyle models.
Throughout its retro cycle, the Cushlon-cushioned sneaker has taken on a healthy mix of original finishes and special edition makeups. A-COLD-WALL* is still responsible for the model's most avant-garde update, but the design has also been reworked enough by the Swoosh's inline team to distance it from its performance origins. Many styles have featured "Metallic Silver' accents as a nod to the style's original run (pun intended), and a newly-surfaced pair is no different.
Although the impending release consists of shimmering metallic tones, its titular hue is a punchy "Sundial" that animates breathable mesh bases. Its presentation next to the aforementioned silver and "Black" components seemingly form part of a larger Batman-reminiscent collection given a recent Shox TL in a similar "Black/Varsity Maize" look. In any case, the color trifecta readies the former runner for summer, delivering an ensemble that's bold enough to enable even the most conservative dressers to take some risks throughout the upcoming season.
