Air Max Plus “Atlanta” Arrives March 27th

Nike’s Air Max “City Special” collection is expanding by the hour, with yet another addition appearing, this time a women’s-exclusive Nike Air Max Plus “Atlanta” — the city’s second sneaker inclusion in the pack.

Though not quite a peach hue that the city/state of Georgia is best known for, this all-pink pair presents with a very subtle use of the sneaker’s signature gradients. Here, instead of working in the traditional front-to-back finish, the pairs opt to go upwards, with a light pink hue working up to one just slightly darker around the eyelets. A similar effect is seen underfoot, with pink midsoles met by noticeably lighter pink-tinted midsoles. The midfoot shank follows suit, though it’s saturation is more pronounced on both ends of the pink spectrum. Midfoot mini Swooshes arrive in a pearl-ish pink, while elegant touches like Velour liners and boxy metallic gold ATL aglets elevate the slinger’s delight into a fashion-forward piece. Capping off the design is the pack’s signature city tags — found here in a vibrant pink at the ankle — and the “City Special” badged insoles.

Though a release date for this Nike Air Max Plus “Atlanta” has not been officially confirmed, a slew of other pairs from the collection has popped up on Nike.com in preparation for a February 26th release (now postponed until further notice).
