Ruohan Wang x Air Force 1 Low Tipped to Headline Nike’s Earth Day Celebration

Over the past 12 or so months, Nike has opened access to its revered Air Force 1 for collaboration to some of the most creative cats in the business. . Travis Scott, Ronnie Fieg and G-Dragon are just a few of the lucky ones gifted an opportunity to create on the iconic silhouette. For a collaborator, its the ultimate blessing. The blank canvas that is the Air Force 1 enables the designer to truly spread their creative wings, which is exactly how first-timer Ruohan Wang, a Berlin-based creative with her own unique stylings, is approaching the silhouette.

Painted in a palette of rich primary colors, Wang has utilized each panel as its own respective canvas. And although each individual artwork appears whimsical, we’re tipping that there is a core theme about the worrying state of planet Earth underlying each scene — possibly in honor of the brand’s forthcoming Earth Day celebrations.
