Tom Sachs x Nike General Purpose Shoe Revealed in Three New Colorways

Through his footwear collaborations with Nike, Tom Sachs has shown a penchant for all-encompassing footwear, inclusive of lifestyle-first Mars Yards, to literal moon boots. For 2022, the American artist has taken a more versatile approach with the impending Tom Sachs x Nike General Purpose Shoe — a multi-functional footwear delivery for all occasions. It’s touted as an “ordinary shoe for ordinary people,” despite its debut drop only landing in the hands of very few. There is more on the way, though, with three new colorways revealed, joining a fourth, previously-previewed colorway in wheat.

From this newly-revealed trio, we see two almost identical in appearance, with white mesh uppers, grey suede overlays, and white and black sole units. Their differentials lay with the Swoosh and pull saturations, with Black/Red, and Red/Orange respectively. The other leans on tonal greys, oranges and whites, giving the shoe a familir feel to that of the famous Staple Dunks.
