And just like that, another UEFA Champions League Final has been determined. England's Arsenal and France's Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will fight for glory at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest, Hungary on Saturday, May 30.
The 2026 Champions League Final has been determined after 188 games played by 36 different teams. Tournament favorites like Real Madrid, Manchester City, Liverpool, and Barcelona couldn't make it past the Quarter-Finals during the tournament's latest edition, which saw numerous unforgettable moments across league phase and knockout rounds.
Nonetheless, league leaders of the Premier League and Ligue 1 rose to the occasion, defeating Atlético Madrid and Bayern Munich, respectively, in the 2026 Champions League Semi-Finals.

According to 11v11.com, Arsenal and PSG have only faced each other seven times since 1994. The European duo holds an even record in head-to-head matches: 2 wins, 3 draws, 2 losses.
In an interview given to CBS Sports following his team's win at home against Atlético Madrid, Bukayo Saka said, "You know deep down who we want to face," when Micah Richards asked him who he would rather face in the Champions League Final between PSG and Bayern Munich.
Given that Paris Saint-Germain knocked out Arsenal in the 2025 Champions League Semi-Finals, many spectators believe the England footballer was referring to Luis Enrique's squad. Successful revenge in the Final a year later would further add to the unforgettable 2025-26 campaign Mikel Arteta's men have had.

Revenge in Budapest isn't the only storyline present in the Arsenal versus PSG matchup; the match will see adidas vs. Nike on one of European football's biggest stages.
Both institutions are some of the most important franchises for both kit manufacturers, with the Three Stripes and Swoosh also helping reaffirm each club as fashion and culture hubs. Arsenal and adidas have teamed up with London-based brand PLACES+FACES, amongst others, while Jordan Brand has developed collections for on and off-pitch use by the Parisian club (e.g. PSG 2026 "Night Edition" Collection).
Having its sponsored club lift up the Champions League trophy in Budapest on May 30 will be a great honor for either adidas or Nike—especially as both head into the important 2026 World Cup™. On the boot-side of things, however, adidas has won over some of the marquee names at both clubs.

Declan Rice, Ousmane Dembélé, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Nuno Mendes wear either the adidas Copa or F50 football boot franchises. Marquinhos, Désiré Doué, and Viktor Gyökeres represent the Nike Tiempo and Mercurial lines.
Star players may debut a special-edition pair or next-generation boot design on May 30. Even if they don't, the Champions League Final in Budapest is sure to be one for the books.
If Paris Saint-Germain wins, that'll be consecutive trophies—a first since Real Madrid doing so in the 2010s; an Arsenal win at the 2026 Champions League Final will mark the first time the club will be able to add that piece of silverware to its trophy cabinet. Doing so at the end of May would be extra poetic given that it would coincide with the 20th anniversary of the first and last time Arsenal made it to the European competition's Final.
In the aforementioned CBS Sports interview, Thierry Henry told Saka, "We couldn't do it...we were the 'Invincibles.' You go and get it [the Champions League]...you guys will be known as the 'Unforgettables.'"
The world will be watching.
