Like he never left.
Lil Wayne is back on the top of the charts, thanks to his long-overdue album, Tha Carter V.
Heard through Billboard, Tha Carter V has pulled in a whopping 480,000 equivalent album units within it’s first week, which concluded on October 4th. The album also flies in as the third-largest week for an album this year and the second-biggest streaming week ever for an album, with a crazy 433 million streams.
The 23-track effort features the likes of XXXTENTACION, Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott and a few others. In addition to the album, Lil Wayne also joined forces with a selection of designers such as Heron Preston, Advisory Board Crystals and Cactus Plant Flea Market to release limited merch ahead of its release.
