Sports are in full-effect across the globe, with attention in Rome, Berlin, and Cincinnati soon shifting towards tennis. Cori Dionne "Coco" Gauff will compete in tournaments held in these aforementioned cities between May 7 and Aug. 28. In addition to putting on champion-level performances, the 21-year-old will debut performance and off-court gear from the beloved New Balance x miu miu partnership.
The experts in craftsmanship took over the footwear space in 2022 when they debuted an elegant take on the New Balance 530 silhouette. Since then, the collaborative relationship has only grown in popularity, inspiring competitors to rival its fashion-forward, low-profile offerings. Gauff will wear new iterations of the miu miu-stamped NB 530 SL throughout the impending months, but when off-the-court. When ready to perform, the Atlanta-native will lace up special editions of her Coco CG2 tennis model by New Balance and miu miu.
Despite its co-sign from Miuccia Prada, Gauff's Coco CG2 has been developed with a performance-first approach.
All the bells-and-whistles that've helped the American champion and other athletes reprise their roles, ensuring reliable performance during the Italian Open, Berlin Tennis Open, and Cincinnati Open. The FuelCell-cushioned silhouette will appear in color schemes to match her elegant tennis outfits. Her extended family has reworked classic apparel with technical fabrics and a medley of hues inspired by each impending tournament: navy, white, and red are representative of Rome, while a white, green, and sky blue union nod to Berlin. Lastly, a white, royal blue, and red combination draw inspiration from the southwestern Ohio city.
Gauff will wear similarly-colored tracksuits before her matches.
