Currently celebrating its 20th anniversary, atmos has had an eventful first five months of 2025. And while the legendary Japanese retailer has tapped longtime partners for commemorative products, the Swoosh conglomerate has been missing from the occasion. Both institutions, however, are believed to be working on a two-pair Nike Air Max 95 collaboration that'll see a retail launch during Spring 2026.
Initially reported on Instagram by @bubblekoppe, the news follows the reappearance of 2008's Air Max Moto+ 6, now dubbed the Air Max Moto 2K, a shoe also reported on by the South Africa-based expert in all things visible Nike Air. Neither the Swoosh nor atmos has confirmed the rumor, but the linkup would make sense given the current context.

The Air Max 95 has been celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, returning with Big Bubble cushioning and original color schemes to harken back to Sergio Lozano's blueprint. Although the silhouette's celebratory catalog has favored inline (albeit limited) styles, linkups with Kith and Yu-Gi-Oh! are expected to join the festivities before the end of 2025.
Having previously worked on the AM95, atmos makes perfect sense for a collaboration, which many Air Max enthusiasts likely see as overdue. Throughout its 20-year history, the Japanese boutique has delivered a number of widely-coveted interpretations of the visible Air family. Neither speculative mock-ups nor early in-hand photos of the pair have surfaced, but the impending project is likely to breathe new life into Lozano's creation from 1995.
Stay tuned for firm Nike.com release details. Pairs are expected between February and April of 2026.
