Another “Tartan” Air Force 1 Low Appears!

Tartan has plaid a big role in Nike’s Holiday lineup for 2022, with everything from the Nike Blazerto the Air Jordan 1 Midreceiving a festive fit-out for the months ahead. Thus far, there have been two distinct streams; “Plaid,” which seems to feature tonal finishes throughout, and “Tartan,” which looks to traditional Scottish colorings, those of which are often associated with the festive season. The next to surface from the series adheres to the latter, with a traditional green-based weave striking the back heel of this new Air Force 1 Low.

Here, the pair presents mostly in buttery sail leathers, with creamy midsoles working with light gum rubber outsoles that result in a finish reminiscent of vintage pairs. From there, tartan/plaid textiles dress the heel in heritage hues of green, red, and black, the latter also giving pigment to the Swoosh overlays, liners, and tongue tags that complete the design.
